Wellesley Alumnae take on Food Insecurity with Open Door Family Medical Centers on October 26, 2019

Join Wellesley Alumnae for a Day of Service in partnership with both Feeding Westchester and the Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force, Open Door Community Health Center hosts a monthly market where 10,000 pounds of fresh produce is distributed to local community residents in need. Alumnae volunteers and guests will set up tables, unload produce from large pallets, pre-bag items, distribute the fresh fruits and vegetables and clean up. Children 14 and up are welcome to volunteer with an alumnae parent or guardian. Spanish language skills are beneficial but not necessary. We need at least 12 volunteers for the day.

Come help bag and distribute fresh produce with other Wellesley alumnae!  Teens and spouses are welcome.  Volunteers will also have the chance to join the staff for a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Open Door's six community health centers.
