Through the Labyrinth:  The Challenges for Women Leaders and Scientists

Why are there so few female leaders and scientists?  Do women lack the qualities of a good scientist or leader?  Do they experience discrimination?  Are stereotypes to blame?  Does a glass ceiling still exist?

Dr. Linda Carli, Wellesley College Professor of Psychology, will present answers to these questions, assess women's challenges and strengths in leadership and STEM roles, and explore strategies for increasing women's representation as leaders and scientists.

We welcome prospective/newly admitted Wellesley College students, their parents and local almunae to what promises to be a lively discussion.  Light refreshments will be served from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Accessible entrance is available on the lower level floor of the house where the lecture will be held.  Please contact Jing Cao for more information so she can make appropriate arrangements for access.

Please let us know if you plan to attend this free event.  RSVP to Jing Cao '08 at jcao@wellesley.edu
