Thursday June 11 at 11am - New York Wellesley Club Tour of the New York Botanical Garden
Join the New York Wellesley Club for a tour of the New York Botanical Garden's exhibit Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, Life. We will have a guided tour of Kahlo's paintings and works on paper in the Art Gallery. Following the tour, guests are invited to stay for lunch (on your own), and to visit Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, to see Casa Azul Reimagined, an evocation of Kahlo's Mexico City home which she shared with her husband, muralist Diego Rivera. Guests can also take a narrated tram ride to visit principal areas of the Botanical Garden.
To reach the Botanical Garden, take a Metro-North Harlem local train at Grand Central Station for a 20 minute ride to Botanical Garden Station. Cross Southern Boulevard and we will meet at the Mosholu Gate. For driving instructions, a map and further information about the Garden, please visit http://www.nybg.org.
